Rally Point 2026: Colorado's Business Community Shows Up for Veterans the Week of Veterans Day

What would change if every employer in Colorado treated a veteran's transition to civilian life as a shared responsibility instead of a personal one?
On Friday, November 13, two days after Veterans Day, PSY Logistics will host Rally Point: Veterans Transition & Suicide Prevention Summit at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight in Centennial, with partners CASI, DTC Global and ElevateIT. Admission is free; donations are welcomed and encouraged.
Why business leaders, and why now
The VA's latest National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report counts 6,398 veteran suicides in 2023. That is an average of 17.5 veterans every day, at a national rate of 35.2 per 100,000. Colorado is worse: 48.4 per 100,000, the eighth highest in the nation, with 178 Colorado veterans lost in 2023. On a single night in January 2024, 978 Colorado veterans were experiencing homelessness.
Those numbers do not move because of one program or one agency. They move when the people around a veteran notice and act. After separation, a big share of those people are coworkers, managers and hiring teams. The support network that came with the uniform gets swapped out for a civilian one: a new job, a new chain of command, a new definition of what a good day at work looks like. Employers sit in the middle of that change whether they plan to or not.
Rally Point puts executives in the same room as the organizations doing this work every day, so the next step after "we care about veterans" is specific.
A September call to action
September was Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The work did not end with it. Before Veterans Day, do three things:
Register for Rally Point and bring one leader from your organization who owns hiring or people decisions.
Forward this article to one colleague who has served, or who manages someone who has.
Save the Veterans Crisis Line in your phone: dial 988, then press 1. Share it with your team.
Then carry it forward six weeks. Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11. Rally Point closes out that week by turning a day of thanks into commitments that last past the parade.
The panel
Five leaders of Colorado veteran organizations will discuss what veterans in transition face and what companies, nonprofits and individual leaders can do to help. 100% of net proceeds go to the organizations represented on the panel.
Moderator: Regan Edens, a 30-year veteran and Founder & Chief Security Officer of DTC Global.

Dr. Bob Briggs, Founder & CEO, Restoring Our Heroes
